Victor Bastidas

Research Scientist

Victor M. Bastidas interests include quantum simulation of driven quantum systems with noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices. He is also interested on quantum criticality in nonequilibrium, quantum phase transitions in closed systems, topology and ergodic behavior in driven manybody systems. In addition to Victor’s work in NTT Research’s PHI Lab, he is a visiting scientist in the Group of Prof. Troy Van Voorhis at MIT. Victor holds BSc and Master’s degrees in physics from Universidad del Valle in Colombia and a Ph.D. in physics from Technische Universität Berlin in Germany. From 2020 to 2023 he was a Visiting Associate Professor at the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan.
