Generative AI and the Cybersecurity Response

As soon as Generative AI grabbed headlines around the world, cyber attackers—both criminals and state sponsored actors—began using the technology to expedite malicious campaigns like phishing messages and sites, malware creation, and scam calls. NTT’s own internal cybersecurity training also discovered people are disposed towards clicking Generative AI-created phishing emails.

While malicious actors are accelerating their efforts to launch cyberattacks, cybersecurity researchers are redoubling their efforts against hacks. For example, NTT Security’s recent research revealed Generative AI can accurately identify whether websites are legitimate or phishing. This session explores the threat landscape, and cybersecurity solutions, presented by Generative AI.
