Ryotatsu Yanagimoto’s research focuses on understanding and engineering the physics of ultrafast quantum nonlinear optics. What does it mean for light to be quantum, and what novel phenomena can arise from this property? How can we unlock new functions with this knowledge? At the PHI lab, his aim is to push the boundaries of what is possible with light by leveraging its quantum nature.
